Privacy policy
Your cube progress stays on your device. Online features use Google’s advertising services and Apple’s or Google Play’s purchase services. This page explains what they receive and the choices you have.
Who is responsible?
Shift Cube is provided by R3ality Projects Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 07813743. Contact hello@r3alityprojects.co.uk for privacy questions or requests.
Your game data
We store your puzzle state, stars, settings, boost inventory, potion balance, reward claims and purchase-delivery identifiers on your device. There is currently no game account or developer-operated cloud save. The game does not request your contacts, photographs, microphone or precise location.
Advertisements and consent
Shift Cube uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google’s User Messaging Platform to present ads and manage relevant privacy choices. Advertising services may process your IP address (including an approximate location), device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, and diagnostic and performance information. The data used depends on your platform, permissions, consent choices and the ad being served. Our launch configuration requests non-personalized ads, disables Google’s publisher first-party advertising identifier, and does not request access to Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA). Consent and regional privacy choices still apply.
Where required, a consent message appears before ad requests. When available, Settings → Privacy choices lets you revisit those choices. The app does not currently request Apple’s tracking permission. Declining personalized advertising is not the same as purchasing ad removal, and does not change your earned rewards.
Automatic ads appear at breaks between completed cubes. Rewarded ads are optional. The No Ads + Offline Play upgrade removes automatic ads, while optional reward videos remain available online. Playtest builds use test ads.
See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Purchases
On iPhone, Apple processes purchases through the App Store. We do not receive your payment-card information. The game receives product and transaction information to deliver credits, prevent duplicate delivery, and determine whether your permanent upgrade is owned. Purchase records are saved locally. Restoring the permanent upgrade requires access to your original App Store account; already-delivered consumable credits are not a cloud backup. See Apple’s privacy policy.
On Android, Google Play handles checkout and payment details. The app verifies Google-signed purchase receipts before delivering products and keeps purchase tokens in its local delivery record to prevent duplicate grants. See Google’s privacy policy.
Connections and this website
Free gameplay checks for internet access using HTTPS requests to Google’s and Cloudflare’s connectivity services. This exposes connection information such as your IP address to those services. Purchasing offline access does not disable connections you choose to use, such as purchases or reward videos.
This website uses Firebase Hosting. Google processes connection and request information to deliver and protect the website. We do not add advertising cookies, a mailing-list form, or website analytics. Fonts and artwork are hosted with this site. Gameplay reporting is separate from this website and is described below.
Optional usage and crash reports
In builds offering Settings → Usage & crash reports, reporting is off until you enable it. If enabled, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics help us understand level starts, clears, failures, active play time, reward balances and technical problems. Reports may include an app-instance identifier, device and operating-system information, app version, approximate location derived by the provider, and crash diagnostics. We do not attach your name, email address or payment-card details to these reports.
You can turn reporting off in Settings without affecting gameplay, purchases or rewards. Turning it off stops future optional reporting and resets the local analytics identifier; it does not automatically erase reports already received by Google. These reports are used to improve the game, and our analytics configuration does not grant consent for advertising personalization or advertising data use. Internal builds are labelled separately from public builds. See Firebase privacy and data processing information.
Why data is processed
We use the information necessary to provide requested gameplay and purchases, manage privacy choices, answer support requests, and protect against duplicate or invalid transactions. Where consent is required for advertising technologies, we rely on that consent. Service providers also process data under their own policies and may process it outside your country.
Retention and your choices
Local game data remains until removed by you or your device. Uninstalling the app may delete progress and unused credits; device backups may retain copies. Store and advertising providers retain their records under their own policies. If you contact support, we use the information you provide to handle your request and retain it only as needed for that purpose or applicable obligations.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your data-protection authority. Contact us to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record. We cannot retrieve a local-only game save from our servers.
Children
Shift Cube is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our support or services, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes
We will update this page when our data practices change. The date above identifies this version. New services such as cloud saves or additional ad networks will be reflected here before they are introduced.
